As we were planning for our long distance move, I was nothing short of tad nervous. Flipping through review sites and finding the best one proved to be really a herculean task for me. Thanks to a review site, which helped me get authentic reviews on Green Van Lines. Frank enough, we were more comfortable going with someone certified and reputed and were more than happy to have found them. A few days prior to moving, the lead moving representative called up and confirmed our details. \r
It was bad weather outside, the day we were supposed to move. At 8:30 the movers called and said they'd be arriving closer to 9:30. They arrived before the scheduled time. The movers were all very nice and respectful. We were all quite shocked at how well everything was wrapped. Every single item (including the one's we packed) was wrapped in plastic wrap and then taped by the moving crew. Our lamps, home appliances, photo frames and kitchen wares were packed by the moving crew. All the furniture was wrapped heavily in blankets followed by plastic wrapping. Each piece was then numbered and added to a physical inventory.\r
They ensured a smoother unpacking by labeling the boxes with the content describing the articles inside. I also noticed one thing. They put all the heavy articles at the bottom of the box and the lighter ones were kept on the upper layer in the box. They also made sure that items required immediately at the new dwelling were packed at the final round of packing. \r
There was a slight miscalculation in the initial moving estimate. In addition, we ended up having a few more things than we had on the quote, so in total we were on something extra. We spoke with the representative and were happy to find that there was no arguing. They were probably the nicest movers I've encountered.\r
Every item that came into the house was checked off thoroughly from their end. Their supervisor called and made sure that we were happy with everything before they took off. Highly recommended! What else could I ask for?\r
