Review content:
Animal hospitals that are open 24/7 will always need to charge a premium fee for being available when all other clinics are closed. In order to have a full staff available for your pet on Christmas morning, Saturday night at 11, or at 3 in the morning requires paying employees a premium salary. Emergency hospitals may only see a few pets during these times yet must employ highly trained staff to handle severe emergencies. The cost is well worth it if it is your pet that is being saved. Emergency hospitals also must have specialized equipment, drugs, and Newton Veterinary Hospital has a blood bank on premises. The cost of care is also more if it is given 24 hours a day as compared to 8 hours a day at regular veterinarians. If a pet requires an injection every 8 hours it will get the medication 3 times a day at Newton Vet while it would only get the injection once a day at a regular veterinarian. If the cost of the injection is the same at both hospitals, the bill will still be 3
