To walk into Hill's is like stepping back in time. Old building, old fixtures, old owner - Mr. Hill! And loved by true sportsmen. It is a long-time Raleigh business which offers real hunting and fishing expertise. I have shopped there for many years - buying guns, hunting clothes, and fishing equipment. Their Filson line of clothes, shoes, and luggage is top quality. My dad bought my first bicycle from Hill's years ago back when the store carried Swinn bikes. This not a discount store, not slick Dick's Sporting Goods or Wal-Mart but a place that sells quality and service. Their gunsmiths do a great job. Their employees know their stuff and are willing to special order - and give free advice and stories!.
