Review content:
Al's Car Car over charged me for a repairing a vacuum leak on my 87 Honda Accord. I had a failed emissions and was referred to Al's from the Emissions company. I went to the location on Grove street and was greeted by Brad. Brad and I discussed the failed emissions and what the charge to repair would be. I just discussed the charges with him because I was not sure yet if I wanted to pay for a repair. Brad told me it would be $76 an hour and that would be the starting price. But then he said that if the repair took less than an hour he would just charge for the repair. We then specifically discussed what might be causing the problem and we both agreed it might be a vacuum leak. He then said if it was just a vacuum leak I would just pay for the vacuum leak to be repaired. I told him I needed to think about it and would call him. After discussing it with my wife I decided to use Als to repair my car. I called Brad and clarified what the process would be. He said they would diagnose the repair and call me right away. When I brought my car in another lady was working and Brad was not at the location. I told the lady what we discussed and she said Brad had let her know about me and that they would call me once the vehicle was diagnosed. I left the car at 2 P.M. and after 2 hours did not receive a call, so I called and spoke with the lady again. She said she was just finishing my paperwork, that it was a vacuum leak and that it was repaired. Well I was not happy that they did not call me as they said they would but since it was just the vacuum leak I was happy with that. I went right away to pay for the repair. When I got to the location the lady tried to tell me it would be an extra 65 for diagnosis. I told her that was not what I discussed with Brad and asked her to please call him. She called and him and after discussing it with him told me it was $76 and no diagnosis fee. The charge for the vacuum leak repair was going to be $45. This company lied to me and over charged me.
