This garage is HORRIBLE!!! STAY AWAY! I live in Albany NY and had the pleasure of breaking down in nassau. The police came and had me towed to Sunnyside Garage. It was literally a 3 mile tow. Not only were they RUDE, but they quoted me an additional $250.00 more then my mechanic would to fix the car. In addition, when asked why I was being charged a tow fee if I was going to allow them to fix my car (they have a tow service -- they towed to me to their garage) I was told that they were charging me the fee because the police called them and not me. They said if I called them I would not have been charged. Because the police called them they said that they were going to the bottom of the rotation with the police department, and that because of that they were not willing to comp my tow charge of $135.00 for the three miles they towed it. I spent $100 dollars to have it towed to my mechanic, because I would not allow them to touch my car. They have TERRIBLE business practices, and are extremely RUDE to customers. I am not sure that they would damage my car, but I wasn't going to chance it. I didn't need to be charged any additional fees. They also made note to tell me that if my car was not out of there by 5pm today (please note they close at 6pm) that I would be charged storage fee of $35.00 per day. This AFTER I was told that I would not be charged a storage fee for a couple of days while I was deciding what I was going to do with the car as it was a very big job and the funds were not available at that very instant. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!
