This AAA recommended certified mechanic is a smooth talker. His shop, location, amenities, and map is listed under AutoZone Procare Website.They advertise that their members do free engine/ electrical/battery checks. I'd had it checked at Champion Auto for free, when it wouldn't hold a charge. I call him, to support local, small shops,and I'd used him before. I told him I needed a battery. He said to bring it right in. When I did, he came out and tells me he ran his check, and for $29.95, tells you it's dead. Then, the only battery he will sell you is the top of the line, Napa 950 crank,it's $90. You tell him you cannot afford that, can you go get a cheaper battery, and have him install it? NO. He "sells" the battery, and when you are finished, he has also charged $52.85 to install, because he had to "take the wheel off".
