Review content:
If you are considering hiring Associated Heating, please read my story first.\r
I had Associated Heating replace my 17-year old system with a brand-new Lennox system. This was a complete replacement (OK, I kept my old thermostat, which still works fine). Everything else--EVERYTHING--is brand new. And believe me, it was NOT cheap. \r
Less than two months after the installation, the heat pump stopped working. \r
Technician #1 spent a half-day MIS-diagnosing the problem--he said there was a leak. (Really? A leak In a brand new, newly installed system?)\r
Technician #2 spent a WHOLE day RE-diagnosing the problem (no leak, but a bad part) (REALLY? A bad part in a brand new, newly-installed system?) The part had to be ordered, and of course, they got the WRONG part first and had to re-order it. \r
Within two weeks of having the new part installed (once they FINALLY got the correct part), the heat pump failed AGAIN. Seems Technician #2 didn't hook everything up properly when he allegedly repaired it. \r
By the way, Associated claims that Technician #2 is their ""best."" Scary, isn't it?\r
Meanwhile, my electric meter has been spinning like a ceiling fan for most the winter. Associated Heating doesn't care; they have already collected their money. \r
So, I haven't decided if they sold me a ""lemon"" or if the installers and technicians are just incompetent.\r
At any rate, I had to take A LOT of time off work while these guys fumbled around. Again, Associated Heating doesn't care; they have already collected their money. \r
If it goes down again, Associated Heating gets to buy the crap back.\r
So, if you want an HVAC system that actually WORKS, don't go to Associated. If you are independently wealthy and have lots of time to sit around and wait on repairmen, then these are your guys.
