Do yourself a favor and DO NOT proceed with conducting business with this company! They sold me a home that they ""remodeled."" I have been fixing their mistakes for the last six months. \r \r They said the sewage line had been replaced, when I asked for proof from the city inspector, they recanted and said that it had not been replaced; but instead, it had been repaired. The first week I moved in, I got to replace the entire sewage system.\r \r They said the roof was new. Then they said it was newer, and that they had only repaired parts of it that were causing the house to leak. My home inspector said that upon his inspection, the roof WILL leak if not repaired correctly. They said that they would fix the roof properly. The roof and water damage is not being fixed--but not by ETNA Properties! \r \r They said that the HVAC system was brand new. Luckily, the warranty on the new furnace covered most of their mistakes when they ""repaired and replaced"" the HVAC system in the house.\r \r They said that the garage had been given a new roof and was repaired to make it structurally sound. Guess who has a garage with water damage and wood rot? This guy!\r \r They said the insulation in the house was brand new. I had an inspector from Questar Gas come and inspect the house. That's when I found out that there was about 80% old low grade insulation, and the new insulation that they had installed were just spot treatments to bare areas of the attic.\r \r It has been six months since i bought this house from ETNA Properties, and already grout holding the kitchen sink in place is already cracked and needs repairing. Grout holding tiles to the back door have also cracked, so at least I get to kill two birds with one stone.\r \r Speaking of the sink, it leaked when I did my walkthrough, they repaired it the second time we asked them to. I permanently repaired it a few weeks ago because ETNA Properties only deal with patch fixing, and they don't understand what quality work is.\r \r I can't promise that you will be disappointed, but I would bet you your first mortgage payment that you will be.\r \r Throughout my six months at this home, two people have been there to save the day:\r \r Joel Carson - The broker who helped me get my home. He has paid for some of the repairs that ETNA Properties have refused to, just to sway me from not hiring a real estate lawyer against ETNA Properties. He is always there to answer emails, texts, and phone calls. I am so fortunate to have dealt with him.\r \r Aaron Wilson - An amazing handyman who pays very close attention to detail. If I buy another house in Utah, I will try my best to hire Aaron to remodel the entire job (because of his ethics and results, he stays very busy)\r \r Beware. My best advise is to stay away from this company and any house that they have been a part of. And if you do choose to continue the mistake of dealing with them, pay for two or three home inspections, because ETNA Properties will not repair their own mistakes after you point them out to them. Some things aren't noticed until a month or six after you buy your home.\r
