This is not written in retaliation but, rather, to relay this store’s lack of integrity toward its customers and its quality of food (which makes me wonder how they obtained any recommended reviews--most likely only when things go well). While I rarely ever order Chinese takeout, just before dinnertime last night, I ordered several dishes to go (wonton soup, fried dumplings, shredded pork appetizer, moo shu pork and pork fried rice). The dumplings ($7.95) were not the same as in the overhead picture (the ONLY ingredient actually in each dumpling was a 1/2-inch meatball) and the moo shu pork ($9.95) was absolutely tasteless. I was so surprised at the dumplings that I decided to return them and then decided to return the moo shu, as well. I took these two items back to the store the next day and was told that if I had called last night, they would have been “replaced,” that the “meatball” is, in fact, pork, and that they have been serving these exact dumplings for 6 years (I never ordered their dumplings before, but they were NOTHING like dumplings I have ever eaten in any other Chinese food venue--including those frozen in the supermarket--in New York, California, Nevada, Washington state, Colorado or Florida). I was offered return at half-price, even though I was returning 5 out of the 8 dumplings and all except one wrap and moo shoo contents. So, $7.95 and $9.95 adds up to $17.90 – I was given $8 and “shooed” out of the restaurant. For better food, prices, service, character, integrity, my suggestion is to call/go to Fu Wing Chinese Takeout on Hypoluxo at Congress (yummy) or Chinatown on Woolbright just west of Federal in the Bank of America/new Publix shopping center (yummy).
