Dr. Flores` and Bearss Animal Clinic has been a part of our extended family now since 1995.\r In 2007 our first sweet Basset hound ,Penny Rose was diagnosed with stage 3 Cancer on her long floppy ear :-( . At the same time we had just lost my husband's parents 10 days within one another and then his younger brother 18 months to follow. Dr. Flores' and his staff all of which who were at all times caring , understanding and generous were always there for us. When we were told Penny Roses survival rate was extremely short, we researched Organic Drug Therapy's. Dr. Flores', was very opened to this because the way he saw it was , what could it \r hurt ? After the second surgery on the same ear :-(, he followed through with our Research and then put her on the Organic Drug Therapy of Antihistamine and Flaxseed Oil. He monitored Penny Roses cautiously and even though we did have to cut back on the Flaxseed Oil Gel Capsules ( which sometimes upset her belly ), she 'd BOUNCE right back. :-) Penny Rose SURPRISED everyone. She survived from May 2007 until July 2009. Her life expectancy after the 2nd surgery July 2007 was only maybe 90 days. If Dr. Flores' hadn't been so considerate and caring about our feelings and trying to get us through the losses of my in-laws, we wouldn't of had our sweet baby girl for those additional 2 years. She is what helped get us through the 3 losses. Now, I do want to make one thing clear, when Penny Rose started to decline she came to us and that's when we knew it was her time. Dr. Flores' was very honest with us and again very compassionate about making the arrangements. This is NEVER an easy decision for a Pet Owner to make nor is it for a loving Veterinarian such as Bearss Animal Clinic. To me this must be one of the hardest jobs out there. We waited 6 months before \r adopting another rescued Basset hound. It goes without saying, our new addition , \r Sir Romeo Beau is treated with the same amount of love and respect by Bearss Animal Clinic.\r Sir Romeo is very unique because he is an Officially Trained Service Work Dog. Dr. Flores' has been very helpful with his professional advice on his Dietary and his Ear needs while Flying and Traveling with me as he assists me. We highly recommend Dr. Flores' not just \r as your Pets Vet but as any Service Animals Vet. The Sir Romeo Beau Project appreciates\r Bearss Animal Clinic for helping with Service Dog Awareness. \r \r With much gratitude always.
