Rick showed up and gave me an estimate of $840 to do some drywall and plaster work for me. He needed $200 down to start the project. Seemed reasonable to me. Once on-site to do the work, he informed me that he under bid the project and wouldn't be able to finish it for the original estimate. He wrote a new estimate of $1650 (Just shy of double the original!). Now he doesn't return phone calls and hasn't returned my deposit, yet he is still able to refresh his ad on CL daily.
Additionally, another local contractor was happy to do the job for less than Rick's original estimate.
Hmmm... BUYER BEWARE when dealing with Rick!
