Review content:
Dr. Mech takes a lot of time to explain things and answer questions. It is obvious that he knows what he is talking about and has done a lot of research into alternative options and procedures that benefit his patients. Although he does use medicine to treat some conditions, he looks at the entire person and finds other ways to treat them, too. Dr. Mech tests blood sugar and hormones, he discusses nutrition, including blood sugar spikes and crashes, MSG and Gluten allergies and has even done a sleep study on me. He has prescribed certain vitamins and supplements and even a dental appliance for me. My own GYN has not bothered to test my hormones (I'm 51 years old), but Dr. Mech has talked about this as an option. I do take medicine, too, and he always listens and respects my opinion on how the medicine is/is not working for me. If side effects are uncomfortable or not acceptable to me, he tries to find something more effective without side effects for me.
