ILoveKickboxing! Not only is that the name of what I do but it is how I feel about what I do. I tell people I started kick boxing and with confused faces they ask if I like it and I am quick to answer with I LOVE KICKBOXING.
I decided to try kickboxing in hopes of getting toned for my Wedding, June 2014. When I went to my first class the staff and other kickboxing students were very warm and welcoming. I was a bit apprehensive to be a beginner with other students who have done classes before. However, with in the first 5 minutes I was care free and really enjoying myself. There are people all shapes, sizes, and ages in the classes.
To help build my confidence, I was given a short training of the different punches and kicks that would be a part of the class. Once, the class started, we warmed –up and I worked my butt off. I felt great and I was a bit disappointed when the class ended. I couldn’t wait to come back. Good thing they have class 5 days a week! I enjoyed it so much; I persuaded my fiancé to join as well.
Kickboxing will help me achieve not only my wedding goal but my personal goal to be a healthier more toned woman. Growing up, I danced at a studio and was in great shape. However, once it was time for college I fell off the bandwagon, but now I AM BACK.
Kickboxing is a very motivational community. We all work together and you get to meet new people. If you are a part of a gym, which I am as well, you know that there is no one there to motivate and push you to keep going and try your hardest. At kickboxing you have a partner, peers and incredible teachers who are there to push and guide you to reach and maintain your goals. With ILoveKickboxing, I know I will be successful. This is the first time, I have ever been so passionate and confident about a program.
