I have eaten at every Steakhouse in downtown Denver and Capital Grille is by far my favorite. They have a great menu of all of the basics that a steakhouse should have. The one item that they are missing is creamed corn, but if you call ahead they will make it just for you. I have done this on more than one occasion. My wife and I went here for dinner Monday night for my birthday. When we arrived, there was a card signed by all of the wait staff. Nice touch. Our waitress was superb, she had a top notch knowledge of the menu as well as the wine list. We were never disappointed by her selections. We ended up ordering wines by the glass instead of a bottle, because they had some very special wines, that were a deal at $20 a glass. I also had one of the better steaks I have ever had. It was a Kansas City strip, which is a bone in New York, that was seasoned with a curry and cumin dry marinade that was just great. For dessert, I had their award winning (best dessert in town 5280) coconut cream pie.
