Here's the story. This was the facility where our dog had his vet as well. He had one eye that worked and was deaf. Placed with their boarding staff with a very detailed list of eye drops and the written schedule of administering them. One week later, we returned from vacation to a totally blind dog! Did I also mention that he was already deaf? Our neighbor picked up our cocker spaniel 3 hours prior to our return in order to have him back on the Saturday and not Monday. We received a phone call from the vet insisting that the dog could see when he left the facility. My question was: How can a dog loose total eye sight in the only good eye after only 3 hours, when we cared for this eye for 2 years after he lost the first eye? We rushed him to the doggie eye specialist who confirmed that the pressure in his new blind eye was over 50. This was reduced down to 20 (15-20 is normal) in only 3 hours after using only 1 drop of the medication supplied to the vet. Isn't that just odd coincidence that just 1 drop could reduce the pressure in his eye? Needless to say, after several hundred dollars of applying the special eye injection to blind him permanently, we were still up to paying the hundred or so dollars for boarding him at the Doggie Bates Motel! Do yourself and most importantly, your beloved pet a favor and stay as far way from this house of horrors as you can!!!!!
