Review content:
I found several bad reviews posted on this snake as early as October 6, 2009, unfortunately, too late to help my son. A snake may shed his skin, but he's still a snake and Justin Low sure hasn't changed.\r My son originally hired Justin Low and because of his complete inadequate assistance of council and the fact that Justin showed up on his court date totally unprepared to defend his case, he advised him to take a deal, a very bad deal. Specifically, I believe my son became the victim of a very ugly judicial practice of prosecutors over charging the case in order to force a plea bargain and a lazy, incompetent attorney who just wanted to collect what he considered his fee. My son had been making payments to him and had already paid him over $3500.00.\r Fast forward to approximately 6 weeks ago. My son was arrested on a violation of his probation. He asked me to immediately contact Justin. This was on Wednesday. On Thursday, Justin said to pay him $1000 and he would get him out of jail. In his office that day, while he was being paid, his girls were bragging that we were lucky that he was in the court he was in because the judge and Justin were best friends and all Justin had to do was text the judge to sign the papers and he would get him out. Justin breezed through and said, ""Oh yeah, no problem, I'll text him on the way to the dentist"". Needless to say, that's the last I ever saw or heard from him.\r I called his office on Friday and was told he left town and wouldn't be back until Tuesday. I said if he didn't have time to handle this, I could get another attorney. I was told that since Justin and this judge were best friends, it could really hurt my sons’ case if we changed attorneys. This is just the tip of the iceberg. For the sake of brevity here, suffice it to say, after many unreturned phone calls and visits, all of which I have witnesses, documentation and phone records, Justin finally shows up to see my son for the very first time on Friday, 16 days after he was hired, with a ridicules offer, saying he needed to take it because he has a court date on Monday and he was going to be out of town, so if he didn't take the deal, he would just have to stay in jail until he could get another court date set. Justin Low was fired that day. If he would have bothered to call me back, he would have known it.\r There is much more to this story of how an unethical, unprofessional, lazy, inadequate attorney who is allowed to continue to practice law and how the court system tolerates the injustices of these practices. My son had a good job, was very active and well liked in the community, very involved in children’s charities and all that was taken away from him because of an attorney that either couldn't or wouldn't provide not only adequate council, any council at all!\r I encourage everyone who has an issue with this attorney to do as I have done, file a Grievance with the State Bar of Texas. It doesn't cost anything and you can file online, by mail or by fax. This snake should be stopped from ruining anymore lives.\r \r
