Steam Pro is our new carpet cleaning choice!\r \r I literally got four quotes for carpet cleaning our 12 area/3 stairs newly-purchased home. \r One was from our former carpet cleaning company, and two were in-home quotes.\r \r Carpet condition: \r Plush, shaggy white carpet,\r Estim around 6 years since last professionally cleaned\r No pets, some wear and darkish stains esp on stairway \r \r Reason I chose Steam Pro - \r I found them in Valpak and saw positive yelp reviews. \r I only requested quotes from companies that had some online customer history that looked authentic. \r \r They educated me on my carpet cleaning options. The other quotes were around $500+ for traditional truck-mounted nozzle cleaning (not roto or teflon treatment).\r \r Steam Pro educated me of a roto-cleaning option which is a bit more but:\r carpet dry time is half\r pulls about 60% more dirt from the carpet and pad\r makes more contact with the carpet fibers than the nozzle\r \r Steam Pro was also the only one who explained Teflon carpet protection in a way I could understand - Think of a rose, steam cleaning opens the fibers which pulls out the dirt and sand but leaves the carpet open and exposed. Teflon is EPA approved and re-seals the fibers upon contact (no dry time) to protect.\r \r Troy also said it's better to walk on carpet with clean shoes rather than socks because oils from the feet can get through the socks on damp carpet.\r \r For $565, Troy of Steam Pro\r \r -Moved furniture (normally they don't move big furniture but our couch and bed are on sliders) including helped move baby toys\r \r - Roto-cleaned 9-10 areas (machine doesn't fit on stairs, used traditional nozzle for those)\r \r -Citrus pre-treated carpet\r \r -Added Teflon protection\r \r -And cleaned four large wool area rugs with nozzle\r \r -Educated me about carpet cleaning (I only knew about truck mount nozzle, now I know about roto and understand what Teflon protection does)\r \r Steam Pro was on time, called when on their way, and helped me decide if we really need to clean our air ducts now or can wait (we waited).\r \r Check out the uploaded 2/19/14 pictures of my white carpet - esp the stairs (the dark wear stains are gone) - it looks fluffed and new.\r Great service and value. Steam Pro is our new carpet company!
