Disappointed with this place that seemed to have such good reviews. I bought a used XC70 from a private party in December and was having a problem with a module in the passenger door with a module that was causing my battery to discharge. It caused the door to think it was open and I had to manually turn off the light every time I opened the door, even just to get out of the car. It cost over $600 but hey it's a Volvo not a Ford. Then I had a problem with a message that the alarm system needed servicing. I'd been warned in a email from someone not to ignore this message as it could result in serious electrical problems. Anyway they replaced the module for $500\r or so. Left the place and the next time I got in the car the same message came up.\r I came back and sat around all Saturday morning and they did absolutely nothing for me and kept trying to pressure me into taking one of their ""free"" loaners. While waiting for them to get the paperwork ready I was watching them go over the loaner with a fine tooth comb and I'm starting to feel like they were trying to make sure there was some damage when they got the car back so I took a pass on the loaner and went to Midas\r the place that normally works on my car. He said their was a wiring problem and fixed it for under $200 and it's stayed fixed ever since. He also said there is no way they could have tested the module before they replaced it because there was no power to it.\r Needless to say I called an complained and they said the module was bad and that's why they replaced it but seemed very irritated and I suspect it was because I caught them with their hand in the cookie jar. Several weeks later I finally got ahold of the service manager and he offered to put my old module back in and reverse the charges.\r Right!!! They kept my old module laying around for weeks just waiting for me to call and complain. I said maybe later. While I was waiting around that Saturday morning I watched another customer who came in for an oil change or windshield wipers or something routine I forgot what it was come back within a few minutes of leaving claiming the car was overheating and he'd never had a problem with that before. They\r said he had a cracked coolant overflow reservoir and wanted $200 to fix it. This poor\r couple was floored. I don't know what they ended up doing but I had talked to them at length while we were waiting and these were some scam artists trying to take advantage of anyone.\r Bottom line I'll take my car to Midas and if they can't fix it and it's not driveable I'll have it towed to Barrington or Orland or anywhere but this place. I will never come back here ever. These guys are NOT to be trusted under any circumstances. The service writers are fine but I suspect they know what's going on but won't say anything because they're afraid they'll lose their jobs.
