Review content:
Meadowbrook Manor is the reason both of my parents are alive today! With my mother a care taker and an ailing father if my mother did not fall in love with Meadowbrook from the first day she walked in she would also have failing health. My father is currently a resident and he had an adjustment period as any ALZ patient does with a change of environment and has rebounded due to the care of every staff member at Meadowbrook. The CNAs have such a difficult hands on job and they are always so pleasant and treat him like family. The nurses are quite observant and catch little problems such as a tiny rash and get it treated with medicine right away before it becomes a problem. The attention the therapist gives to each patient is as if they are they only patient they are treating which is far from the case. Every time I am visiting there is always a maintenance member cleaning something from top to bottom. I never worry about my father’s care when I am unable to visit, the staff will give you updates on what we have missed from things my father was discussing to being able to eat by himself for the first time in almost a year.\r
Of course, in a perfect world we would be able to care for our loved ones at home, however in realty Meadowbrook Manor was the answer to our problems. Seeing my father in the community, he gets so much social interaction with staff and patients, medical services on the spot and religious services he was unable to attend. The transition from home to a community is difficult emotionally however Meadowbrook made it a smooth transition from the day of our first tour
