Review content:
Ordinarily I would have nothing but praise for this location / business, but recently took my wife's car in to be looked at because of a squealing coming from the driver's front tire. We were told by one mechanic that the wheel bearings in the wheel were going bad and would need to be replaced. When we took the car to Desert Car Care, they informed us that the front tire was fine, but that the rear differential was going bad, and the sound was travelling to the front tire. I told Desert Car Care about the previous diagnosis and they were adamant that it was NOT the wheel bearings, stating that they had listened with equipment and there was no problem with the tire or bearings. When we had the car taken to a third shop to find out what the issue was, they immediately (as we pulled the car into the shop) stated that the wheel bearings were probably going bad. This shop checked the rear differential and stated that the fluid level was fine, clean, no metal shavings, and adequate level. We replaced the wheel bearings in that wheel and haven't had an issue since. Again, I was satisfied with previous visits to this location, but after this experience, most likely won't be back.
