Review content:
Fields of lavender surround Aix-en-Provence, and thus winds its way through this menu. We started with a tasty complimentary amuse bouche of poached fruits with chevre and a balsamic reduction. We then ordered two small plates : the assorted cheese plate with poached fruit and lavender honey and the menage a fois - duck confit, seared fois gras, and a liver mousse. Both were good and reasonably sized. For our entrees we had the Pappardelle with duck and wild mushrooms, and a very flavorful roasted chicken (hints of lavender) with baby vegetables and fingerlings. The portions were generous. The wine list was concise and a little pricey but every table seemed to be indulging. For dessert we had a dense rice pudding with caramel, bailey's mousse, and dark chocolate. It was good but a little dry. The service was a slow but friendly. Dining room is small some make reservations.
Pros: Interesting Flavors, Parking, Fresh Ingredients
Cons: Gets Crowded, Pricey Wines
