Review content:
We love Green Acres even more now than ever. Our dogs have been coming here for years and it has just gotten better and better. They are constantly working on improving the spaces that they have. We love that this place acknowledges what dogs are. Our dogs, even our little one, get to run freely, playing, digging and chasing birds. They are also very conscientious about getting the dogs clean and dry for the night even after playing outside in the water and dirt and grass. For a 'Green' city like Portland, this is the most 'Green' facility I know of. The dogs get a lot of exposure to fresh air, grass, dirt and water. They constantly strive to meet the holistic needs of the dogs without trying to turn the dogs into something they are not. They are meticulous in their sanitation of the buildings - they hardly ever smell bad. In addition, they pay close attention to our dogs getting too much exercise which can be a problem for our little guy. They are not cageless as the dogs have their own kennels when the workers are not around. But they are also not a prison with the dogs being cooped up in tiny boxes or kennels that are impenetrable. We definitely recommend this facility for anyone who enjoys a dog for what they are and would love to give their dog a vacation of their own while they are away.
