First of all the appointment was for between 8-10AM Mon. and didn't hear from them so had to call and rep said was still on job I was next and then dispatcher called back to say were on the way and finally showed up around 11AM. The plumber, Bruce was very proficient for the 15 Min. that I observed him in changing the old leaking hose bib with a new one that I provided. As I said did not feel comfortable unscrewing this old bib myself and take a chance on breaking the old water house galvanized pipe and then potential very serious repair with a hard freeze upon us; he said understand but the charge would be $259 to unscrew this bib and screw on my new one! I was shocked and he said would just charge his 1 hour rate of $179 for the job which was still shocked but agreed to. As stated Bruce took 15 min to complete this and I think this is totally outrageous price but OK I paid it and that is I assume his hourly rate so history now just think this is very expensive for the service rendered. Bruce did assist me with another inquiry I had since was n the clock and didn't charge me for that advise thank goodness but next time will take the chance and try myself!
