Review content:
I got married at the Bellagio Wedding Chapel in December 2010. The chapel is pretty cute, and the hotel is gorgeous. \r
\r
Pros: \r
+A well-known hotel \r
+Recorded the wedding \r
\r
Cons: \r
-Overpriced \r
-You can't bring your own photographer, and the photographer they provide will charge you a whole bunch of money for photos of your own wedding \r
-We paid for the photographer for 1 hour, but he only stuck around for about 40 minutes. \r
-They ""include"" a certain dollar amount of flowers, but when you see the options, their prices are overinflated. --This means with the included amount, you can only their cheapest arrangement (unless you're willing to spend extra money), that you could get somewhere else for 15% of their price. \r
-They say you will be able to talk to the minister about the service, but he doesn't take any input. i.e. if you don't want to use rings in your ceremony, he will still use the words for a couple using rings, even though there aren't any rings. Pretty dumb and awkward. \r
\r
More notes on the photography: \r
The package you get includes a certain number of photographs. When you go to pick them the next day, they will have them all printed out already, but won't give you more than your contract says. Also, the photos are only matte, don't even hope of getting some glossies for your album. They want you to pay about $15 per photo for a digital copy. All in all, the package they wanted us to buy from them for the 40 minutes they spent with us and the 60 photos was $3,000. Absurd. \r
\r
I *might* recommend this chapel if you could bring your own photographer, or if the photography package they offered was somewhat reasonable. With the uber-expensive photo package they try to force on you (your only other option is to not have photos from the wedding, except for a handful of small matte photos), I would NOT recommend getting married at the Bellagio.
