Businiess name:  Dallas Smock - State Farm Insurance Agent

Review content:
STAY AWAY! I would highly recommend finding another agent with State Farm - even if that means going out of town. I have been with State Farm 12 years, dealt with agents in several cities over that time period, and this is by far the worst office I have ever had the DISPLEASURE of working with. My mother and father are searching high and low for another state farm agent to move over their accounts, as well as my sister. Overview of the mess that is Dallas Smock state farm: - Can never get an address update correct - Updated my sister to my address incorrectly, took 8 months, repeated confirmations, to get her off - They placed my sister on my car as a secondary driver because of the address mess up with their office, racking up serious rate changes that have yet to be credited back - Still owe my sister a credit of over $150 - I insured an Intrepid in May via phone that they never input into their system, I received a call from their agent in September ASKING ME what THEY should have in their system for insured vehicles. They didn't have the dodge intrepid in their computer system (so it was basically uninsured for 5 months while we were driving the vehicles), I was told that they would date the insurance as of MAY but not back-bill me as the vehicle wasn't insured......you can guess what happened next - I received a bill of $355 back-bill since May. I fought this bill for the last month, took it off my credit card with Chase, and am still fighting to have them remove it from my bills. Would you like to hear what proof they have that the car was insured for that time period? absolutely nothing....they have an internal form that says it was insured from May to early June.....then underwriting and accounting have no further documents they can provide. Their agent also denies having made the mistake or the phone call. I don't want to get into the issues that the rest of my family is dealing with at Dallas Smock, but I really want to keep other people from similar situations. Please take this advice and find a different office at all costs. - Steve
