Review content:
UHS never did any work for me but not for lack of trying - on my part, that is. LOL I needed a new roof on my house and garage in Bloomington, and I came across the company's kiosk in the local Sam's Club. I gave the rep my details and the company called to schedule a visit to give me my roofing options and price estimates. Well, after repeated appointment cancellations (4 or 5 times) on the part of the company, a young sales guy arrived, did the measurements, and gave me an astronomical price for the work. That was partly my fault as I did ask for the top of the line product, even for the garage. We discussed a couple of other options and the price came down considerably. Since I was scheduled to leave for the winter in less than a week (I live in Florida most of the year), I said that the work would have to be done in the spring, a timing condition I made clear from my first contact with the appointment scheduler on the phone. I was told by the sales rep that he thought it was possible to complete the project before I left. At that point, I felt hustled and terminated the meeting. His manager later called and asked if he could down and talk to me - the sales rep and I weren't that far apart on price when I ended the meeting. I agreed. Not surprisingly, the day of the appointment he cancelled and I agreed to reschedule. However, I had second thoughts and called back to cancel the appointment and ask that I not be troubled anymore.
UHS may do good work but I'll never know. They just played to hard to get. After repeated appointment cancellations, I just didn't feel comfortable signing a contract and handing over a deposit.
