I think the snow removal effort was great with one exception! First I want to thank the young man who plowed the snow drift that the plow left in front of our driveway at the beginning of this storm. But since then, when we shovel the drive entrance clear -10 feet long / 2-4 feet high drifts on the street, the plow fills up the empty space and plows us in again. The snowdrift from the plow is one half of the street and is 2-4 feet tall! I understand that we live at the end of Water St and 6th St but this is ridiculous! We try to be good neighbors- digging out my elderly neighbors and always the fire hydrant for the fire department. But they would have to wade through these drifts to even get close to the hydrant! It will take us a week to shovel out of this mess and that is after my 69 year old husband spent 5+ hours shoveling it out already! A snow blower would not help as this is an excessive amount DUMPED here by the plow! The drivers may think this is OK but when a space is cleared at the end of a driveway, that is not an invitation to dump 10 more feet of snow 2-4 feet high!
