If your looking for a nice relaxed setting, nice staff, and decent prices; come to Murphy's. I came to DC for a conference at the Marriott hotel. I got into the city after a long day of travel and needed a place to just relax. I was in on Saturday night and found Murphy's across the street, from the hotel. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the company of the Irish bartender and a girl who was very sweet. There was a great choice of draft beer and a full bar for whatever the heart desires for a liquor drinker. The live music was wonderful to listen too, he played little bit everything. I was then told that they did a brunch on Sundays. I went back Sunday morning and\r brunch was terrific and great deal. $9 for brunch champagne included and $1 refills. I found myself back Sunday night sitting at the bar and was given great information about the city, from the two bartenders (girl, same as the night before and guy different but very nice and helpful). The staff members I met were very nice and welcoming, and most helpful when asking questions about the city. Now looking back I ended up back at Murphy's every night of my conference. I would recommend this place for an conventioneer who comes through. Decent prices on food, and draft beers/liquor.
