Good surgeons but the rest of the experience was horrible. Nurse staff does not pay attention to meds needed, meds given, nor did they bother to tell patient that non-fluid meals (meals post surgery) had to be special ordered. Patient went without food with none of the nursing staff noticing! Discharging student doctor prescribed incorrect meds. Family did not notice error until after paying for all meds. Family called into surgeon and nursing staff for help resolving error. Multiple messages over many hours went unanswered regardless of fact discharge paper work states a call back will be received in 30-60 min and if not then to have resident paged. When family requested a page for resident, the phone operator had no idea how or who to page regardless of family reading exact instructions from discharge paperwork. Only moderate resolution came when family escalated issues to patient advocacy dept; patient advocacy was only dept who even called the family back, found unrelated doctor to prescribe the proper meds based on charts. Never heard back from surgeons nursing staff. Many more issues and errors encountered including: typos of patient number caused family waiting for hours in post surgery although patient transferred to a room; patient unable to get a room for HOURS as more surgeries booked than rooms available (post surgery patients stacked up in recovery room); patient given room on 5th floor next to employee smoking room! (should there be an employee smoking room in a hospital next to surgery patients!!??) Patient recovery room constantly stunk of cigarette smoke! My recommendation, find another hospital! Avoid at all cost!
