Review content:
Very disappointed and it's not even through yet... Everything started off great. I was searching for a moving company to handle my transatlantic move and had it narrowed down between two companies. I chose this one because of John's attentiveness of my concerns for the big move and timing.\r
Originally, he upped my shipment when I gave him the list of my intended items to bring, but said that he ""even had a guy he moved who he saved money because the shipment came in smaller than planned."" So, I confirmed an estimated amount and that it would be 3-4 weeks and that it would be adjusted accordingly if it came in under or over. He said yes, but the shipping would probably more like 4-5 weeks, but I should know pretty quickly.\r
He subcontracted the movers, which were very efficient once they finally showed up, but there were issues with the integrity of the supervisor of the subbed company who oversaw it and wheeling and dealing on the side, steering decisions and saying she would save me money taking less because I would come in under the estimated size if I sold her items.\r
She then bailed on even buying the items until John stepped in (and finally resolved it nearly two weeks later as I was already on the opposite side of the Atlantic). \r
Me not shipping them on the word of this unethical person did indeed put me under the original estimate, but they have charged me the full amount anyway and didn't even get my things on a ship until a full month after they picked up, despite several conversations and promises it would be on this week, that week, etc. Then they went radio silent while I called and left messages and emailed nearly daily to confirm and ask for the photos of my shipment, as promised by John, until finally confirming my delivery after a couple weeks. But the sad and aggravating part is now it won't arrive until around February 1. My pick up was the first week of December and I am living off of air mattresses and had to go buy several necessary household items because mine weren't even on a boat yet.\r
Needless to say, I will not be recommending them to my associate who is scheduled to move here in March. I would truly hope mine was an extremely rare and unfortunate situation with them since John SEEMED legitimate, but the lack of follow up or follow through on ANY promise or commitment they made is severely unprofessional.\r
