Review content:
Scott McCoy of Home Right Solutions was the finalist with another person to replace my roof. We agreed on a price after going back and forth and the work was done. The first sign of trouble is in the pre-sale he promised that nails would not be left around the house and how he has a metal machine that cleans up after the crew leaves. This was far from the truth. I had plenty of nails at both of the houses that he did and he had to come back and clean up the job. He also destroyed my palm tree as well as a flower bush. In the process of tearing off the roof he put sheets around the house to catch the old roofing and I watched at was simply tossed on top of my bushes and destroyed them. He also wanted me to move a car which I could not and he dented that up more also. It was already pretty dented from hail damage (why I needed the new roof) but it was the first sign of things to come. \r
After completion he says the he had under estimated by two yards and it would cost another $440. I told him that was totally unacceptable because I had spoken with him several times and we had agreed upon a set price. He wanted me to go back to my insurance company and ask for more money. \r
I disagreed and he said he is going to have his men come and take the two yards of off my roof. \r
I told him that when I go back and if they agree I would give him the money.\r
Fast forward 3 months and I found out that my roof has been leaking. On Christmas day no less I spend hours vacuuming up an extremely wet second floor main floor and basement. I call him the day after Christmas and tell him that I am flooded with water and instantly he starts saying it might be the gutters with out even seeing the damage. To add insult to injury he says he will be able to come and see the damage in two days even though he lives in Stockbridge like I do. I was livid! I texted him the weather forecast of rain on the day he planned to come and let him know he had no trouble showing up promptly other times so he should not be stalling on coming over. I got a second opinion from a general contractor after friends over on Christmas said it was a roof issue and the General Contractor pointed to the same place that my experience friends did. Scott finally came over and he talks about replacing the part of the counter flashing that was not obviously not secure and how he still is not sure if that was responsible and he needs a second opinion. I called the General contrator right then and he said he will put it in writing. Scott said it is just his opinion and he is not going to fix what the damage he caused. Furthermore he gave me a bogus number for insurance carrier. I would never recommend Scott McCoy or Home Right Solutions to my worst enemy.\r
