Dr Jones is awesome! I have been a zookeeper for 25 years. I have worked with many, many vets. i love this guy. He knows his stuff. AND, when he doesn't, he tells you, and does research. which makes me trust him, and it is not often that he doesn't know his stuff. I live far away from him now, but if my dogs need something like anesthesia, or any diagnostics, I drive there for him to do it.I don't trust anyone else. Great doctor, sweet man, terrific with animals, great educator, and awesome skills. I have a really tough chow mix and I thought she was going to bite his face off. Nope! With his great animal handling skills, patience and knowledge, he easily handled her- No muzzle. And, he's easy with the treats. Even my cats have loved him. I only wish he treated birds. Plus, he has long-time staff. That must mean he's a nice guy to work for who pays fairly. And I DO NOT think he is expensive, He once said, when I asked why his rates were so reasonable, that he tried to keep rates down so that people wouldn't be afraid to treat their animals with the care they needed. He's a saint! He is not out to soak you- he actually cares about animals. You will see that if you go there, He has practiced medicine a long time. He is confident and knows his craft. He will not run unnecessary tests- I LOVE this vet. And trust him with the animals I love. Every animal should benefit from his knowledge and caring.
