I recently attended a wedding rehearsal dinner and wedding at The Mitchell House and Gardens, and all I have to say is "wow." I've lived in the Midlands for years, but I've never been to an event there. The dinner could not be duplicated in any restaurant. The Mitchell House itself was beautifully decorated with flowers on all of the tables and throughout the house. The dinner, served by the staff, was delicious, and the desserts were to die for. One whole room had desserts, and the groom's cake was a chocolate creation that I learned was made by their cake expert. If the food at the dinner was this good, I had to wonder what the wedding would be like. Well, it was beyond my expectations, too. I have never seen such beautiful floral arrangements. A huge display of roses and other flowers covered the arch in their Garden Pavilion. The flowers for the bride and her attendants were gorgeous, and there were even more flowers throughout the house.
