In mid 2005 I took my car in to get the wheels balanced as I was getting a bit of a wobble in one of my wheels. They were very quick to come out and help me but when they went to work on my car they didn't have one of the car lifts available so the guy jacked up my car with 4 floor jacks (didn't seem very safe) but got the tires off and balanced them. While putting the wheels back on he some how managed to ruin a factory Nissan lug nut (car needs to use factory lug nuts for a correct fit) and once he lowered the car to the ground, suddenly I was getting a banging sound on the exhaust which had never happened before. When they put it on a lift to look at what was going on a manager looked at my wheels and suddenly told me that the wheels look dangerous and wouldn't advise traveling any further on them. Came as a shock to me as they told me I need a new set of tires. On my way home one of the wheel weights that had just been put on the "bad wheels" come off and made a loud bang as it hit
