Review content:
Had a toilet leak on a foreclosure that I bought, called Abacus. Tech shows up, tells me it's "99%" that it's a seal, quotes me $421 (including the $50 service call) to replace the seal on the toilet, I approve the work, he gets started. 5 minutes later, he tells me that he needs to show me something, tells me that the leak "has been there a while" and that water cracked the tiles (the cracks were visible before he removed the toilet) and that the sub-floor needs to be replaced, which is going to require a carpenter (probably another $700-$800) and that he can't replace the seal and put the toilet back until that is done. Then, he tells me that he needs to charge me "at least half" because he "did some work". Wow, a whole five minutes worth! I'm not happy, but I pay it. Then, it takes him forever to leave! He's parked out front of my house for 20 minutes until I go out there and ask him to leave. He then moves his vehicle about 3 doors down and then parks for another 10 minutes. So, he spent about 6 times the amount of time hanging around after finishing than he did working on my toilet. If $210 for 5 minutes of work without completing the job sounds like a fair price to you, hire these guys.
