The first few years we owned our home we tried to take care of our lawn ourselves. We live near a large "farm" field that is only planted to keep run-off down (our town owns it rather than the farmer they pay to plant it). The field receives no sort of weed treatment at all. As a result, we get tons of cross polination and just plain old wind blow off from this field. Keeping the weeds down was a never ending battle. After a few years we gave up trying.\r

Lesiure lawn (now Chemlawn) started treating the lawn about 6 years ago. It took a couple of years of treatments for it to look better. By the 3rd year it looked great. The fourth year, 2006, was a rough one for weeds. They came out a few extra times to our home and to many of our neighbors just trying to keep the mess at bay. Still, you could tell a difference between our lawn and those who were do it yourselfers. Ours did look better.\r
