Review content:
When I was researching plastic surgery options in Memphis, I was really impressed by Dr. Aldea’s credentials and reputation. I liked that his website educates patients on how to distinguish a reputable plastic surgeon from someone who doesn’t use best practices and encourages patients to apply this benchmark to Dr. Aldea himself. It was also really important to me that Dr. Aldea is not only dedicated to providing outstanding care, but also care that is right for the patient.\r \r The first time we met, Dr. Aldea did a thorough examination and talked at length about the details of the procedure. His unflinching honesty about what to expect and attention to detail is what ultimately made my decision. Throughout the process of planning the procedure, Dr. Aldea’s office was extremely helpful, even though there were several logistical issues associated with my coming in from out of town. \r \r After having male breast reduction surgery, I am now, 8 months later, very satisfied with the results and grateful to Dr. Aldea. Since I had an excess of actual breast tissue, the procedure involved both excision of the gland and liposuction. I had a significant, but very well tolerable, level of pain throughout the first 5 days. The numbness in the chest area and the drainage ports made it difficult to change and shower, so I needed help from my family. However, after Dr. Aldea removed the drainage by the end of the week, I was well enough to drive and return to work. Wearing the compression vest was annoying but not uncomfortable even in the summer heat. The garment is nearly invisible under clothes and virtually unnoticeable. Another thing to expect is not being able to sleep on the stomach for several months. \r \r Today, I am really pleased with how I look. There are no visible scars and I have full feeling in my chest. The way that the breasts looked did change over the course of 4 months or so. First initial swelling and bruising dissipated, and later the tissue relaxed and smoothed out as some of the fat layer returned. Now both sides look very natural. Thank you Dr. Aldea! Truly excellent work.\r
