Review content:
My husband adores sushi, I abhor it. Otani is the perfect solution. The restaurant has four dining areas: a regular table and chairs section, a sushi bar, a traditional area (with cushions and low tables instead of chairs), and a hibachi area. The service was friendly and polite.I had hibachi - steak in a black pepper and teriyaki sauce. It came with a choice of mushroom or miso soup, garden salad with a ginger dressing, fried or boiled rice, and a bowl of bean sprouts to go along with the beef. The mushroom soup was simple - but exquisitely flavored. The fried rice was not over greasy or flavored - a perfect combination with the spicy beef dish. The star was the plum wine - dense and sweet. It went perfectly with the rich steak. Hubby's sushi was fresh and clean. Served over sticky rice and a touch of wasabi, it looked almost tasty (except for the raw fish part, but good for those folks who actually do like it). Definitely recommended. I will go back.
