Review content:
My wife and I have been Cameo Salon & Spa customers for over five years. My wife has Laurie as her hair stylist and I get my haircuts from Yolanda. We both like the professional cuts or, style suggests these professionals provide.\r
Laurie and Olaf are the managers of the Salon & Spa. Olaf a former nurse with chronic back problems similar to mine suggested I try the pressure massage from his new spa masseuse \r
Kiki. I must admit I was skeptical at first. I had been suffering since a return from a VA-PA trip on October 20th. The throbbing pain when walking was on right side from the gluteals-posterior mid-thigh muscles - knee- and bottom of the foot. \r
In summary Kiki assured me that she would adjust her pressure if it was too painful. It was so painful the first hour treatment that she could not work the right side as she normally would.\r
However, I could walk out without any pain when I left the salon. So, I did some shopping for a few hours. Olaf and Kiki had both forewarned me that there would be pain afterwards for a couple of days. I felt so good the next morning that I mowed the yard for a couple hours(power mower not riding mower). \r
The pain baseline before the first pressure massage on a scale from 1-10, varied from 6 to 9 even when taking maximum doses of IBUP(800mg) & Tylenol (1000mg) every 4 hrs. The window for walking without pain was zero. If I walked or was seated even on a pillow there was pain. No position in bed allowed me to sleep more than an hour or two. \r
\r
The first massage(60 minutes) allowed me to lower the doses down to 600mg IBUP and 650 mg Tylenol-extended release tablets, but I still had to take them every 4 hrs. I had to continue to use a cane to walk, but now with less pain. Pain scale 6-7 with a limited window for activity.\r
\r
The second massage 4 days later was a 90 minute massage and Kiki had a change to work my legs and back extensive this time. Sleeping was still naps for 1-2 hrs.\r
The results of this massage was that it now allowed me to walk with a cane after 2-3 IBUP's and, 1- 650 mg Tylenol every 6-8 with a pain index from 4-7 depending on the duration of my activity. Sleeping was still napping for 1-3 hrs.\r
\r
The third massage 10 days later was again a 90 minute massage. Fantastic change.\r
The results a week later are that for the last 2 nights I have been getting 7 hrs of uninterrupted sleep. The IBUP dosage has dropped to 400mg tablets taken every 6-8 hrs with none needed before bedtime. Now the 2-500mg of Tylenol and the Melatonin I was taking along with the IBUP before are allowing me a full nights sleep. This time I followed Kiki advise and allowed myself more rest time between activities. I put more cushion pads in my shoes and roll around the house on my pillowed desk chair to rest and still get something done.\r
@ I can now walk without a cane and not have excruciating pain for 15 - 20 minutes. I basically use the cane if I have overdone my walking without it.\r
The pain level has changed to a range of 2-5..only a 5 if I have slept the 7 hours and not had a change to take a couple IBUP.\r
\r
I would recommend going to have Kiki's 90 minute deep pressure massage for a ""delightful relaxing - pain experience"" that will expedite recovery of various musculoskeletal system disorders. If you are healthy treat yourself to a relaxing massage. \r
\r
***** A five star rating!!!!!\r
