Review content:
I custom ordered over $400 in lighting from this store; when I picked up my products from the store, I asked to open the boxes to look at them to make sure they were not broken, etc. I was told that because they were shipped from California, they opened up the boxes and inspected them upon their receipt, so there was no need for me to do so. Two months later, my electrician came to install one of the pendant lights, and it was broken. I called the store to complain, and asked for a partial refund, as I am located in NY and at 8 months pregnant I could not drive down to NJ to return the lamp; in addtion, it would also cost me a lot of money to ask my electrician to come back and pay him for a second day to replace it with a new lamp. I was basically told that there was nothing they could do for me, and that I should have checked the lamp myself. They also told me they could not give me a refund because they gave me a ""deep discount"" on the lamp; I told the man I was speaking to that they did not gave me a ""deep discount,"" as the ""discounted price"" they gave was the same that online retailers have advertised. He also did not seem to care that I had hundreds of dollars of additional lighting to replace in my home and that he was about to lose out on a repeat customer over a small refund.
