Peter F...I do not know what you were quoted, or what type vehicle you have.....but to change the timing belt and water pump (which should be done at the same time) is NOT a cheap job, no matter where you go. If you want quality work that is. \r \r Hometown Tires are very professional, local people whose business would not have survived this long had they been con artists. I buy all my tires there and Brad or Barry always take the time to discuss the various choices and then leave the final choice to me. They take the time to explain everything to me in plain english and if there is a problem after service, they make it right.\r \r Believe me, I have run the gammut to "mechanics" who treat women like they have "STUPID" written all over their forehead. Hometown Tires is not one of them!
