SCAM SCAM SCAM. Do NOT sign up for the $2.99/gallon pre-pay gas for when the car is returned. I asked several times ""is there a catch?"" when signing up, since it seemed odd that I could just return the car, not fill up the gas tank, and they will only charge $2.99/gallon. I was told there was no catch. Well, of course there is a catch, and I have no one to blame by myself. After the car was returned, I was charged $32 for gas. Seemed very high for 150 miles. When I called to ask for an explanation, I was told for the first time that when you sign up for the $2.99/pre-pay option, you are signing up for a WHOLE TANK of gas, regardless of how much gas I used. What an absurd policy - I should have known there was a catch. Of course, I was not offered an apology, but was told repeatedly that 1) they will always tell people about the policy when they sign up and 2) no refunds. I was not told this when I signed up, even though I explicitly asked if there was a catch, since there was no way I would pay for a full tank of gas knowing full well I would barely use a half tank. \r \r But even after this charade, instead of receiving an apology, I was told that it is their policy to explain this to customers (regardless of what my experience was) and it was emphasized there were no refunds. \r \r So they have an absurd policy, they conceal the policy, then fail to offer an apology -- only a reminder that there are no refunds. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere -- based on the fraudulent concealment of their pay upfront gas policy and the very poor customer service.
