Not a good experience with Kocher Realtors. I found a listing, called on it and was told by Aranya McCoy that she would be out of town the rest of the week and the earliest she could show it would be over the weekend, which was fine with me. She told me I was the first to call on it and that I would have priority because I was first. I asked her if it was possible for me to fill out the application now and fax it or send it or something because I knew I wanted the place. She told me she did not want to rent it out site unseen and assured me I would have the first showing. The day of the showing she called me and told me she had to cancel because someone had called and wanted it site unseen, filled out the application and sent in the deposit. I told her I had offered the same thing, and reminded her that she promised I would have priority. She apologized but did nothing about it. I asked her if there was anything I could do, even offered to pay a cash deposit or pay extra in rent, she said she couldn't do that and now I am out of a place to live and have two weeks to find one. Plus, I LOVED this property. She should have called the couple and apologized to them and explained her mistake, and allowed me to still have the place. She told me they had not yet signed the lease, so they were not under contract, she simply didn't want to act ethically. Although I do not think it was intention or vindictive, I do think the way Aranya acted was dishonest, unethical and simply unprofessional. Zero stars for Kocher Realtors.
