Review content:
This is a fully accredited college of 2500 students which offers both undergraduate and graduate (master's level) majors. It has intramural sports and a newly enhanced gym with a wellness center under construction. Although it is primarily residential, it has commuter students also. The men's and women's residences are modern and there is newly-constructed housing for older single and married students.
The university offers 7 master's degree programs with 22 emphases; 57 baccalaureate degree majors, 49 minors, and 16 associate degree majors. Additional preprofessional and terminal curricula are available to students seeking admission to professional schools.
The School of Nursing (associate, bachelor's and master's) is accredited by the National League for Nursing; the School of Education and Psychology is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation for Teacher Education; the School of Music is accredited by the National Assn. of Schools of Music; the Long-Term Care Administration program is accredited by the National Assn. of Boards of Examiners for Long-Term Care Administrators; the Social Work program is accredited by the Council of Social Work Education; and the School of Business was recently accredited by its association.
I am a graduate of Southern Adventist University. I had a wonderful time during my college years and the schooling I received at Southern gave me an excellent preparation for graduate school at Stetson University and prepared me well for a successful career.
