I have always wanted a Mercedes-Benz car. Because of Dave and his crew, I am able to keep my recently purchased 2000 C-230 in tip-top shape. The shop mostly handles BMW and Mercedes service, but, in my opinion, if they are capable of handling those makes, then they would be adept at handling all foreign makes. I am always given an appointment well within a weeks' time, the servicing of my car is handled swiftly and professionally, and I always get a call if something comes up that was not discussed at dropoff (also, a prompt message is delivered when the car is ready for pickup). The more that I visit this shop, the more I trust that they are not like some that pad the bill or look for other unscrupulous ways to generate revenue. And, as you should know, trust in an independent garage is everything. A Mercedes is a very finely engineered piece of equipment and deserving of timely service. Yes, the servicing will be more expensive, but my feeling - after 30 years of foreign car ownership -is that you get what you pay for. So, you can spend the money for quality and quantity (more miles between unscheduled visits), or you can own a domestic or Japanese brand that needs constant attention past a certain mileage (mainly, because they are built to a much tighter budget; as such, I would venture to say that an alternator and wheel bearings on a brand new base-line Kia is a much different creature than one on a new BMW). It's been my view that I would rather buy a 5 -10 year old European car (Peugeot, Volvo, Audi, Mercedes-Benz) than a brand new budget brand (insert name here; there are many). For less money than these "budget" brands, I have a much nicer car with money to budget for servicing and repairs. It's a formula that has rewarded me, so far, since 1983. Shops like this help to keep this alive. I couldn't ask for better.
