Review content:
We had quite a few bids on our hardwood floor installation. Dan was - hands-down - the most genuine & honest out of the 5 contractors we met with. He seamlessly scheduled and installed our 800+ square-foot hardwood floor while we were away on vacation. It was nice to leave our house in trustworthy hands, and we came home to beautiful floors. Overall, a great job. On the downside, better cleanup could have been done, there were a few nail-holes left un-filled; and a bay window bench he installed had some irregular cuts, creating gaps that should have been filled prior to sanding and finishing. When confronted about the bench, there was resistance in fixing it, and I ended up having to deal with it myself. In his defense, Dan did give us the window bench for free when bidding the job. But afterwards, he made it clear that he felt his job on it was ""good enough."" I feel that I should not have had to fill the gaps myself - even if it was ""complimentary."" I would have given him a perfect 5 stars if he had been more responsive to this. Overall, he does good work, he's trust-worthy, and I have no hesitation in referring him to my friends and family.
