DO NOT use Boston Brick and Stone for any chimney inspection! They are not honest - I am a realtor who was exposed to them when they did an inspection on a client's home I was selling. She has two fireplaces - within an hour, this company came up with all kinds of huge safety issues and at the end recommended replacing both units top to bottom for more than $25,000. I got a second opinion from a known trust-worthy company (The Chimney Guy, Inc.) and his conclusion was that $1,750 would cover the cost for the necessary repairs. He said these fireplaces had 10-15 more useful years of life in them.
