I have been trying to find the right way to respond back to the post from Nicole M. Yes this child was accidentally sent on a visit, but the person was not a complete stranger to the center, he is a qualified C.P.S. transport driver with a background clearance card, and the child had the same name of the child that was suppose to go on a visit. The staff person she is referring to discovered the incident within seconds and is the one that called to contact the driver and had the child returned without getting to the destination. The mother was contacted and informed of what had happened and so was the Licensing department. The center was in no way trying to hide or deny what had happened, but it did happen and the center has since made policy changes on how children are released with a transport driver. I am a parent of 2 children attending this center and have been for the last 5 1/2 years, I am very happy with this center and in no way can I hold this against them, they are human just like Ms Nicole M is and I am sure WE all make mistakes at some point of our life time. When I started looking for a center for my daughters, I visited many of them, and I checked references and Health Services and Kids First Preschool's record was one of the best. As soon as I walked through the front door I was greeted and was made to feel so welcome. My children love it here and I would not have them anywhere else. I read this a while back when a friend informed me of this comment, and when I asked the center what happened, at no point was I given a run around story, I was told they could not give me the names of the involved but was told how this happened and the center assured me that not one moment went by that office staff was not attempting to contact the proper agency to locate the driver, I felt so relieved and still know this is the right place for my two children. They could have hidden this from the parent, but she was the second call made, and they also reported it on their own to Health Services, so I would hope that if anyone is reading this, and your looking for the right center, you will go to Kids First Preschool and know that when you leave your children they are in the best hands besides your own.
