Review content:
Writing a review (positive or negative) is something I do on a regular basis. This review is one that I believe needs more attention than others from readers like you. Why? My wife and I used Serendipity Catering for our recent wedding reception this past October 12th. We took around two months researching caterers before selecting Serendipity and that task was not easy. In the beginning, we treated Serendipity just like any of our other four vendors. We were 'micromanaging' and planning for everything up until our face to face visit with Laura. Prior to our meeting in person, we were working with Laura over the phone and via email. Today, I truly believe the face-to-face meeting was not warranted, but simply a part of the process that we feel is done with first class treatment. What I am trying to say is, we were able to address everything via email and telephone and meeting in person was simply a formality in order to get a firm booking for our event. Very few details took place after the initial booking. Of course, there were tweaks here and there, but this was mainly due to small issues with third party vendors such as for fine china, etc. Throughout the process, I would correspond with Dan and Laura, make a payment here and there and we would chat in email about how the planning was going and what frustrations we were experiencing. Dan and Laura quickly offered there expertise and guided us down a path resulting in less stress with their 'get-it-done' attitude. Pride of ownership is something I speak about on a regular basis with my clients. Pride is not lacking in their business model. I personally feel that customer experience is lacking in most business transactions. This is not the case with Serendipity Catering. I read many other reviews where people made comments about their price being higher than normal. Guess what? It was worth it! We had ZERO problems with Serendipity. to say you get what you pay for is an understatement. Don't go cheap in this area on your wedding day. Serendipity Catering went ABOVE and BEYOND and assisted us in areas where they truly didn't need to, but assisted because they wanted to. We truly believe that our wedding reception was top-notch because of selecting Serendipity Catering for the event. We have received many comments from folks such as, "The best wedding and reception I have ever attended and I've attended many! Well done!!!" Out of all of our vendors (we had a total of five) we give Serendipity an A+ and we truly cannot offer any comments for improving their service. Out of five vendors, we ranked them as number 1. Well done - Is an understatement!!
