I have a regular vet that I take my dog to. Because she has kidney disease she needs a perscription diet. Let me explain.. this is a perscription diet because of the type of protein they put in the food not because it has actual medication. When my normal vet was closed and I had absolutley NO food for my dog I was turned away because I didn't have a perscription on me. I was asking for one can of dog food. As vets they should know how important it is to feed a dog with kidney disease and they still turned me down. I had no other options and my dog was hungry. They acted like I was asking for pain killers because my dog had arthritis or something. They said they would need to have an initial consultation and even then they wouldn't be able to diagnose my dog without extensive tests.. just for one can of food..?!?! They are not compassionate at all and are just plain rude! DO NOT GO HERE!!!
